“We are proud of our intern program's pre-start socials, which connect incoming interns with their future hiring managers, mentors, and former interns. These department-specific gatherings offer a deep dive into CrowdStrike's culture and internship expectations. These early connections help foster a strong community and help build excitement. Cohorts are created by regions, department and program types in Abode to build community. The success of this 'keep warm' strategy is evident in the enthusiasm of our intern conversions who volunteer their time, ultimately reducing renege rates and ensuring every intern feels welcomed, prepared and excited to join CrowdStrike!”

“We leverage the Abode platform and host virtual and in-person networking events and are proud to have a 90% engagement rate. We foster intentional connections pre-start through a combination of office and team champions and intern conversions that are eager to mentor. These connections build authentic peer-to-peer relationships before day one. In fact, our intern class this year is comprised of 27% returning or continuing interns from the previous year(s), demonstrating strong community and retention!”

This organization had one of the lowest renege rates among their peers who applied.
In their application, they cited helping candidates see long-term career growth during the interview process, regular communication with new hires between acceptance and start date, and connecting new hires with peers before the start date as the top 3 reasons for their low rate.

“Our mentorship program is all about giving interns plenty of ways to grow and connect. Beyond their immediate team mentor, we also set them up with cross-company pairings based on shared academic or personal interests, helping them connect with employees globally. A key highlight is our five-year partnership with the National Cyber League, which offers four months of mentorships to students to spark a passion for cybersecurity and build professional confidence. This holistic approach empowers mentees to form interest in pursuing a career in cybersecurity.”

This organization had one of the top internship to full-time conversion rates among their peers.
“We're proud of how our "One Team, One Fight" culture creates genuine belonging that drives conversion decisions. Interns experience real work that makes an impact from day one while accessing executive connections and valuable training from industry experts. Our multi-touchpoint approach means many conversions have engaged with us through multiple programs—NCL/CrowdStrike Mentorship, Launch Interns, or recruiting events (CCDC/MITRE eCTF sponsorships)—before joining as interns. We create an ecosystem where interns don't just complete projects, they become part of our mission. This authentic integration into our mission to stop breaches makes the transition to full-time feel natural.”
